About the course

Cervical cancer is one of the commonest forms of cancer that affects the reproductive organs. A prominent role played by a nurse in health care is being a patient educator and therefore, there is a need to educate nurses about the risks and impact of HPV and cervical cancer.

This course is aimed at educating nurses about symptoms of cervical cancer, screening guidelines, preventive measures, colposcopy, analyzing the test results and its documentation and nursing considerations in relation to cervical cancer.

Good knowledge helps the nurse to understand the problems of the patient better, thus enabling them to provide improved health care.

  • Explain low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (LSIL) and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL).
