About the course
Anger and aggression may be a response to stress, misunderstanding, confusion, misinterpretation of events, personality conflicts or feelings of being patronized or rejected.
All healthcare workers, especially nurses in emergency departments, are likely to encounter aggression and violence. This behaviour may be caused by a medical illness, a psychiatric illness or drug intoxication or withdrawal.
This course will help the nurses to understand the causes, triggers and behaviour patterns of anger, and to learn effective techniques for diffusing and coping with aggressive situations and also help the clients to manage aggression.

- List down disorders associated with aggression.

- Illustrate general principles of aggression management.
